Those items are now classified as "Crafting Components" and not "Junk", so I assume that you cannot get Antiques Appraiser to proc on those anymore, but I don't know (didn't test it). Also, there are items which USED to be $22 Junk items, and as such might have gotten you $880 from an Antiques Appraiser hits.

Probably the most desirable gun mod to get would be a 21, 32, or 38mm Mag Scope, but those don't drop from field stripping at all, from what I can tell (they didn't before the patch and still don't, AFAIK). The first time, I waited until I got a Freeze Ray in order to bring down AP usage from 7 to 6 so I would have the option of being able to fire it twice in one round if I killed my target with my first shot, but as it became harder to one-shot enemies on the harder difficulty settings, I think I am going to mod the PDW-01 to bring AP usage from.

Scrap can now be used to make stuff, but the amounts you get from field stripping aren't that great, even with the Perks. Before, the scrap you got was basically just a different form of money, and you got less of it than what you'd get in cash for selling the gun. Field Stripping used to be "not worth it", before the 1.4 patch, and I'm not sure if the patch really changed anything.
